Raw Food Cleanse Preparation

As a new blogger, I want to start off with an interesting topic: 5 Day Raw Food Cleanse!

Why eat raw food?

To me, the most important component of this cleanse is not to heat your food above 115 degrees F. Cooking food does the follow:
  • Destroys the life force. Eating cooked food is eating dead food. This will make you feel heavy and tired. Live food has live energy which gives you energy. One example is that a raw seed will grow, a cooked seed will not.
  • Destroys most vitamins
  • Kills enzymes. Enzymes help you digest and absorb your food. Your body can create enzymes but that process takes a lot of energy. This process makes you feel tired and heavy after a cooked food meal.
What are the benefits of eating raw food?
  • Increased energy
  • Improved Digestion
  • Radiant Skin
  • Weight Loss
The list of benefits goes on...especially if you eat raw food as a complete lifestyle. I am doing this as a cleanse from meats, sugar, dairy, caffeine and any other foods in the S.A.D (standard american diet) we consume.

For now...I'm off to buy leafy greens, fruits, green smoothie ingredients, sprouts, seaweed and raw nuts and seeds. Stay tuned!
