Raw Food Cleanse: Day 4, 5 and beyond...

I did an amazing raw food cleanse and the reasons I'll continue to incorporate raw foods into my daily diet are endless! Here are a few of my favorite benefits to note. 
  1. Raw food diets are associated with a reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes and cancer because they:
    • contain fewer saturated fat and trans fat than a typical western diet
    • are low in sodium
    • are high in potassium, magnesium and fiber
  2. Raw foods slow the effects of aging! They:
    • help to maintain a healthy weight which correlates with long life
    • are a rich source of anti-oxidants that reduce the harmful effects of aging
    • have tons of fiber & keep the digestive system in top shape warding off related ailments
  3. Raw foods are SUPERFOODS and:
    • are the most nutrient dense foods you can consume
    • boost your immune system
    • give you clear skin and healthy bones

That is powerful information. I'm off caffeine and onto super-concentrated, nutrient-rich foods that make me feel good and keep me energized all day long! Until my next experiment...God Bless ~Lauren~
