Day 3: Raw Food Cleanse

Day 3 was simple and fun! It's amazing what a few days of eating only natural healthy foods will do for you.

Raw food diets are done to detoxify the body of chemicals, toxins and acids that build up over time. These contaminants hinder the functions of our organs and blood cells and prevent our digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems from operating effectively. When our bodies are not functioning efficiently, we can begin feeling tired, irritated and lethargic. 

In turn, eating a diet of raw food makes you feel energized, light and rejuvenated!

Spanning out from salads and smoothies, I attempted a raw sushi dinner last night. Despite the appearance, it was actually pretty tasty! No rice or fish involved in these rolls, but lots of veggies, raw garlic spread and sprouts. Delicious and nutritious.
