Day 2: Raw Food Cleanse

Today is the second day of eating all RAW, LIVING foods. What has been most notable? I'd say, hands down, it has been my energy level! I thought that giving up coffee would leave me motionless and exhausted...I was wrong. I'm NOT a morning person, but I woke up naturally at 6:30AM ready to conquer the day and I've been going ever since!

This wouldn't possible without gallons and gallons of water. Ok, that might be an exaggeration but I am drinking so much water and I continue to crave it throughout the day. Most of the time, when we get "hungry" mid morning or mid afternoon and reach for snacks, we're actually mistaking thirst for hunger. So, drink up and see if you're still hungry after a glass of H20.

Besides saving you from eating unwanted calories, lemon water controls high blood pressure! It's great for people who have a history of heart problems. Lemon water has high levels of potassium, can prevent nausea, clears skin & acts as an anti-aging remedy. It can also reduce mental stress and depression. You can bet I'm pushing aside the red wine and using lemon water for relaxation during this cleanse :)

Tomorrow I'm attempting a raw sushi dinner and a raw chocolate cake! Stay tuned for recipes and results of this experiment.
